Box Tops for Education is now accepting products from Kleenex, Cottonelle, Scott and Viva. Companies and products already participating in this program are General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Yoplait, Ziploc, Bugles, Fruit Roll-ups, and Pop Secret.
Remember to cut out each box top on the dotted line. This saves time because they all must be cut for redemption. Please send them in to your child’s teacher or place them in the PTA box in the mailroom.
GREAT NEWS!! It is even easier to turn in soup labels. CAMPBELL’S only wants the UPC code on the back of the soup can. NO more front panel labels will be accepted.

The Spanish Program will be held between 2:45 - 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Parents must send a note to their child’s teacher every week in order for their child to attend. Students meet in the library and should bring a snack and/or drink with them.
We have reached our maximum number of students for this session, but will be registering for the next session sometime in November and December. Sessions are 12 weeks long and the cost for each session is $144.

Disbursement Form - Print and fill in all lines with complete and accurate information. You can fill the form within MS Excel or print it out.
Tax Exemption Certificate - Texas Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate.
Check Record - Use this form to account for all the checks received.
Petty Cash - Use this form to account for all the petty cash received.

New this year is our “official” Barksdale PTA cards. If you joined the PTA at Packet Pick-up and did not receive one, please let Denise Stavely know so one can be sent to you quickly. Do you have some time to spare? We’d love to have you volunteer in the library.
The duties include: Help students check out books; Shelve books; and Assist library staff with special projects.
We will do our best to schedule your volunteer time during your child’s class time in the library. You must have PISD volunteer clearance completed to be able to volunteer. A formal orientation for NEW library volunteers is scheduled for Wednesday, September 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the library.

Family Art Night is a free event that gives you and your family to create art together. Seven art stations will take you on a creative adventure through painting, drawing, metal tooling, bark cloth, collage, and printmaking.
This event will take place on September 13, 2007, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
