Yearbook Cover Entries Due October 23!
It’s time once again to get creative and submit your entry for the Barksdale Yearbook Cover Contest! All entries must e received by October 23. The committee will be accepting entries for a front and back cover. The contest is open to all grades and the guidelines are as follows:
- Open to all students K – 5 and ALL entries will be displayed in the yearbook.
- Artwork should be submitted to the office (where there will be a box with my name on it – Martina Tulmen/Historian).
- The artwork must be on a vertical 8 1/2” x 11” piece of paper.
- Students can use markers, crayons, paints or paper (collage or mosaic). It must contain the words of this year’s theme: Barksdale Elementary, 2007-2008, “Soaring to Success” (somewhere on the page – please watch your spelling). The picture should depict something that “Soaring to Success” means to you. For example, a space theme, rockets ships, car racing, runners, horse racing or balloons would all be appropriate. Be creative and colorful Each student’s name, as well as their grade and homeroom class teacher, should be marked on the back of the page in pencil and will be concealed during the judging.
